U.S. & SHIRATI SCHOOL ART PROJECTS
Students: Adrianne Cornette, Kateri Ang
During our trip, we went to a secondary school in Shirati with 27 disposable cameras. We handed them out to students to document what life is like in rural Tanzania to show them to students in America to give them a broader world view. Each student started the film roll with a self-portrait in order to keep track of which roll of film belongs to which student. The cameras were picked up a day later and brought back to the U.S. to be developed. A copy of the photos will be sent back to the secondary school, as well as dispersed at local schools here in Cincinnati.
